alrighty, we're going to call this guy ben for now. so, ben and dahlia used to be incredibly good friends when they were younger. they were basically inseparable and since their fathers worked together as professors in the same department at ucla, they saw each other a great deal. growing up, dahlia was pretty much how she is now - naive, sweet and ambitious. ben was loyal, funny and carefree. their friendship was light and easygoing, up until junior high. that was when things really started to change. they both went to the same school and had grown up with the same people, but because the junior high was for a district rather than a town like their elementary school, there were new kids in the halls. ben started befriending quite a few of these 'other' kids, and most of them weren't really up to any good. dahlia on the other hand stayed with her pack of close knit friends from elementary school and was perfectly happy with them. but as the months went by she started seeing ben less and less. in the summer of sophomore year she decided to pay ben a visit at his house, only to found it empty and with a for sale sign on the front lawn. ben's family had moved - she didn't know where to and she hadn't heard a word about it. this of course hurt her since she thought they were best friends, despite growing farther apart. but without a warning or a goodbye, she wasn't sure if they were even acquaintances anymore. after that she stood up tall and went on with her life, trying her best to move on.
now she's here in spring valley, a new girl on the block and excited about her new store and this new life. as fate would have it, ben happens to be here too, working as a ___ after dropping out of college a couple years ago. this is where we'll pick up, basically them meeting again and a lot of bantering and accusations. i really just want to build from their history and play it by ear. i'd like to see them together in the future but we'll see how things play out.
so, the play by is pretty open. the guy featured is ben barnes but alternatives could be kit harington, jamie dornan, anyone really - just run them by me first. his name and occupation are up to you but his age should be twenty three. as for his personality, he should be pretty standoffish yet somehow charming on the outside but still the same young kid he used to be on the inside. anything else which i didn't mention is up to you!
